What happens after a consultation ?

Before and during a consultation I encourage you to do some reading on astrology: 'Parkers Astrology', or 'The Astrologer's Handbook' by Julia Parker are great for the beginner, and those with more knowledge. Both books cover Sun Signs briefly, but go beyond these to talk about your Moon and Rising Signs as well(and to give a rough guide to finding out what these are.. oh, the link 'Horoscope Calculations and Information' at the bottom of my homepage can also help there. 'Predictions' a monthly magazine, has some incredibly informative and well-written articles on astrology and Whittaker's Almanac, a yearly publication is useful for seeing how astrology shapes up at a world level. Both publications are available at Smiths.

Although I keep specialist terms to a minimum, many clients are also keen to learn a bit more about why or how I've said something. Reading, plus a few informative comments from myself, can often spark a deeper interest. I have been impressed by how many returning clients (including those in vocational, professional work areas) do read-up, and are now learning how to 'accommodate/assimilate' astrology into their lives on a regular basis...the simplest example here is being aware of the effects of New and Full Moons.

But a consultation is not a private tutorial in astrology and its techniques. If you are keen to learn more, 'Floodlight' (available from WHSmiths) lists courses, the British School of Yoga runs some excellent distance learning programmes, and if you have the money available, then there is always the 'Faculty of Astrological Studies', which has recently started a distance learning programme. Feedback is valuable and at events around Britain I have the oppportunity to hear from clients how their lives have shaped up. Clients from abroad also contact me in the same way.

I aim to give you something tangible that you can work with after the consultation. Perhaps it's a left over trait from having been in education for so long, but I believe in offering a service, and one that is worthwhile, informative, perhaps inspiring, and leaves you with the feeling and idea that you can definitely do something towards enriching your own life.

Best wishes
